Set sail on a wonderful musical maritime journey with Joss Cameron. Delve into the fascinating history of sea shanties and learn how to sing a shanty or two!
Sea shanties and traditional fishing songs are a wonderful part of Scotland’s diverse and rich cultural heritage. As a maritime nation, sea shanties, traditional fishing songs and stories have remained a popular pastime for both sailors and landsmen alike!
Join Joss Cameron (who recently featured on Robson Green's Weekend Escapes on BBC), Scotland's foremost sea shanty teacher and educator for a workshop sharing the history of seafaring songs, the traditions and nature of maritime language, and have fun singing some rousing choruses as a group (no singing skills required).
All ages and abilities are welcome me hearties! Under 16's must be accompanied by a paying adult.
