THE WAY TO EMOTIONAL FREEDOM II | Weekend Retreat with Anthar Kharana
THE WAY TO EMOTIONAL FREEDOM | with Anthar Kharana
11th to 13th September 2026
What happens to the grief we never had space to feel?
Where does anger go when we are taught to silence it?
Our emotions are not enemies, they are movements of life carrying messages, memory and energy. During this weekend, we will listen more deeply to the emotional body and explore how feelings can be witnessed, expressed and transformed with dignity.
Through ancestral sound, rhythm, voice, movement, ceremony and grounded group processes, we will create space for what has been held inside to begin moving again.
This retreat is an invitation to:
Understand the messages held within your emotions, recognise repeating emotional patterns and create a healthier relationship with anger, grief, fear and vulnerability.
Experience the voice, body and breath as pathways of liberation, releasing what no longer needs to be carried, so we reconnect with clarity, vitality and inner freedom.
Emotional freedom does not mean never feeling sadness, fear or anger, it means learning to feel deeply without becoming imprisoned by what we feel.
ONE JOURNEY, TWO DOORWAYS
The first weekend explores the sacred language of love, relationship and reciprocity in all its forms, whilst the second supports the movement, expression and transformation of emotional energy.
Together, they create a journey from protection into connection, from holding into expression and from repetition into greater freedom.
You may attend either retreat individually, or join both for a deeper and more complete process. No previous experience of ceremony, sound healing or retreat work is required.
Every practice is an invitation, and each participant is encouraged to honour their own boundaries and rhythm.
Led by Anthar Kharana
Anthar Kharana is a ceremonial musician, sound healer, retreat leader and guide from Colombia. Having travelled through 16 countries, he has been especially active in the UK, where he has returned regularly over the past 26 years. Anthar is known for creating deeply transformative spaces rooted in ancestral wisdom, sound, prayer and embodied presence.
Coming to the UK directly from his homeland in the mountains of Colombia to share these retreats, Anthar offers a journey shaped by sacred music, ritual, healing arts, connection with nature and deep authenticity, before returning home once the gathering is complete.
Together with Kim McFadden, producer and retreat support, whose longstanding collaboration with Anthar has been an invaluable part of this work over the years, the retreat is held with care, kindness and steady presence. Kim brings a special quality to the journey through her wise and gentle approach, helping to sustain the group’s energy throughout the practices and the wider retreat experience.
The retreat is also nourished by the beautiful work of our chef, Leila Kimiani. Through her creativity, care and intuitive relationship with food, Leila brings her own kind of magic to the pot, offering meals that are wholesome, vibrant and deeply supportive of the journey. Her food becomes part of the retreat itself, grounding the body, gathering the community and adding warmth, beauty and nourishment to each day.
RETREAT CONTRIBUTION
Each weekend is offered through a conscious sliding scale of:
£490 to £540 per person, per retreat
We warmly invite you to choose the amount within this range that feels both possible and generous for you. Those who are able to contribute towards the higher end of the scale help us continue making this work accessible to others.
