We at Antidepressantrisks.org are honouring Prescribed Harm Awareness Day by hosting a Stolen Lives picnic at Hyde Park in London on 29th July from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. 

We would like to invite anyone who has lost someone to medication-induced suicide, or anyone who has been harmed themselves by prescription drugs. Of course, friends and supporters are also very welcome. 

We are so excited to have a line up of guest speakers this year: 

- Dr Mark Horowitz MBBS PhDLeading psychiatrist and Clinical Research Fellow at NELFT and UCL. Mark has first hand experience of antidepressant withdrawal, sharing his experience extensively in the media.He co-authored The Maudsley Deprescribing Guidelines and wrote the Royal College of Psychiatrists guidelines for Stopping Antidepressants.- Professor David Healy (TBC)Co-founder of Antidepressant Risks, psychopharmacologist, psychiatrist, scientist and author. World expert on the contribution of antidepressants to suicide, the conflict of interest between pharmaceutical companies and academic medicine, and the history of pharmacology.- Debi Roberts MA EdCEO of The OLLIE Foundation. Debi created The Prescription Safe Plan, which introduces a practical self-help tool designed to give patients a clear understanding of their medication’s potential side effects and the confidence to return to their prescriber if their well-being declines.- Katinka Blackford NewmanFounder and CEO of Antidepressant Risks, investigative journalist and author of The Pill That Steals Lives - a book about her ownexperience of antidepressant harm. She hosts The Med Free Mental Fitness Podcast and in tandem with her advocacy for awareness of the risks of mental health medication, she works as a life coach.

Please RSVP here by selecting a free or donation based ticket. Attendance is free, but donations are welcome to support the event and our ongoing efforts. We rely solely on donations from individuals. We kindly ask that you register in advance so we can plan accordingly.

  • This is a space for families, survivors, friends, and supporters to come together, share stories, and honour lives lost or harmed - please bring photos of your loved ones.
