Hemel SEND Family Fun Day

Join us for an exciting SEND Family Fun Day at Jarman Park Athletics Track in Hemel Hempstead on Saturday 1st August 2026, 11am - 3pm! 

This special event is delivered in collaboration with Herts Together, No Limits 2026 and Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership to proudly celebrate Hertfordshire’s Year of Disability Sport & Physical Activity.

This FREE inclusive and celebratory event invites children, adults and their carers/families to come together for a day packed with fun, activity and teamwork. The morning will feature a carousel of engaging sports/athletics activities, giving everyone the chance to try something new in a supportive and welcoming environment. In the afternoon, get ready for some friendly competition with team relay races! T-shirts are provided* for all participants (sizes selected at checkout). 

There’s something for the whole family to enjoy, including inflatables available throughout the day, making it a perfect opportunity to relax, play and connect with others. There will be teas and coffees available to purchase on the day but no food outlets so we suggest that you bring a picnic with you!

Important Information for Attendees

We are committed to creating an inclusive and enjoyable environment for all participants at our event.

Please note that our staff are present to lead and facilitate activities. They are not able to provide one-to-one support or personal care for individuals with physical disabilities. Attendees who require additional support should attend with a parent, carer, or support worker who can assist them throughout the event.

For all participants under the age of 18, a parent or carer must remain on site for the full duration of the event.

Useful Information

• Parking - there is a large free car park at Jarman Park adjacent to the Athletics Track
• Toilets - are available on site
• Water - there is a water refill station
• First Aid - there will be a First Aid station on site
• Easy Access - please visit the Jarman Park Athletics Website for full information on Accessibility
• Food - we are in the process of securing tea/coffee and ice cream vendors to have on site but there will be no other food outlets. We suggest you bring a packed lunch or you can get food from the outlets outside the Athletics Track. Picnic blankets and chairs can be bought on site, there is plenty of room for you to set up base for the day!
• BBQs - these are not permitted on site
• Dogs - only service dogs are permitted on site. Please clean up after your dog.
• What to wear - please wear comfortable clothing and bring socks to wear on the inflatables. If it is hot, please bring a hat and suncream - there is not much shade on site
• Cancellation - if the weather is too wet to run this event safely then we will do our best to reschedule to an alternative date.

* T-shirts are being ordered on Friday 17th July so we cannot guarantee availability of sizes after this date. We will order a few spares in each size.
