APRIL MOON + WINDING ROOTS

In this long-awaited and highly requested double-header show, Canadian duo APRIL MOON join forces with folk-country duo WINDING ROOTS (Kirzy & Becky) for a special night of music, storytelling, harmonies, and beautifully chaotic fun.

The four musicians first crossed paths in Fuerteventura, where Kirzy teamed up with Jason & Jaime of APRIL MOON to co-write and record the song Happy Place. After a magical sold-out performance at Liverpool’s Arts Bar last summer — featuring Becky Gilman on fiddle — audiences (and musicians) were left wanting more of the chemistry, laughter, and musical madness that unfolded onstage.

It's time to bring it back!

The evening will feature full sets from both APRIL MOON and WINDING ROOTS before all four musicians come together for a collaborative finale.

Expect heartfelt songs, rootsy grooves, plenty of laughs, and a night that celebrates friendship, collaboration, and the joy of live music.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

APRIL MOON are a Canadian duo serving up irresistibly charming, boot-stompin’ Canadiana with twangy guitars, big vocal harmonies, and an old suitcase turned kick drum. Made up of Jaime April and Jason Moon, the pair have built a reputation for unforgettable live shows full of playful storytelling, well seasoned musicianship, and songs that leave audiences grinning long after the final note.

Raised on the wild prairies along Canada’s North Saskatchewan River, APRIL MOON blend alt-country, Americana, folk, blues, rock, and pop into a sound they proudly call “Canadiana” — Americana with a distinctly northern charm. 

Never ones to stay still for long, Jaime and Jason split their time between several countries a year, living out of their beloved campervan, “The Clubhouse,” and bringing their infectious energy and rootsy sound to stages everywhere they visit.

Their 2025 EP, Forgiveness Juice, recorded in Liverpool with the support of a funding grant and earned radio play from BBC Introducing and Countryline Homegrown, further cementing APRIL MOON in the fast growing country/roots scene in the UK.

WINDING ROOTS are a British duo with a folky, country, singer-songwriter style. Made up of Kirzy on the guitar & vocals and Becky Gilman on violin. After years living, playing and honing their craft in Fuerteventura, they started to spend the summer back in the UK & Ireland where they took huge inspiration and expanded their flare for folk and upbeat live performances.

Kirzy spent 2025 releasing a song every 2 weeks (self written, recorded & produced), many of which featured Becky on the violin. The two realised they had a special sound and formed the duo Winding Roots.

They have since taken their musical base back over to the UK in York after falling in love with the area, where they now gig, write and play shows.
