CIS Arbitration Workshop: Sanctions, Compliance and Enforcement

Mon 5 Oct 2026 9:00 AM - Tue 6 Oct 2026 1:30 PM BST Online, Zoom

The 2026 edition of the conference on CIS-related disputes brings together leading practitioners, arbitrators, in-house counsel, experts, and policymakers to discuss recent developments affecting dispute resolution across the region. The conference will take place on 5-6 October 2026 in an online format.

Following a successful previous edition of this conference, it will focus on key legal, procedural, and strategic issues arising in disputes involving CIS jurisdictions and other former Soviet Union states (e.g., Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan), particularly in the context of geopolitical tensions, sanctions, and evolving enforcement practices.

Join leading practitioners, arbitrators, in-house counsel, experts and policymakers on 5–6 October 2026 for an online conference examining the rapidly evolving landscape of disputes involving CIS and other former Soviet states. The programme will feature focused discussions on commercial and investor–State arbitration, treaty interpretation, sanctions and countermeasures, parallel proceedings, and the recognition and enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards. Participants will gain practical insights into navigating disputes shaped by geopolitical tensions, conflicting legal regimes and emerging judicial practice.
