CIS Arbitration Workshop: Sanctions, Compliance and Enforcement

Mon 5 Oct 2026 9:00 AM - Tue 6 Oct 2026 1:30 PM BST Online, Zoom

Join leading practitioners, arbitrators, in-house counsel, experts and policymakers in an online format for two focused half-days examining the most important developments affecting disputes connected with CIS and other former Soviet jurisdictions.

Sanctions, countermeasures and geopolitical tensions are reshaping where disputes are heard, how proceedings are conducted and whether judgments and arbitral awards can ultimately be enforced. Through expert presentations, comparative analysis and practical discussion, the conference will help participants understand these developments and respond to the risks they create.

The programme will examine sanctions and counter-sanctions, Russia’s Lugovoy Law, anti-suit and anti-enforcement remedies, parallel proceedings, commercial and investment arbitration, changing arbitral seats and institutions, and the recognition and enforcement of judgments and awards across Europe, Central Asia and Greater China.
