Come join archaeoastronomer Carolyn Kennett along with history and folklore enthusiast Lizzie Dale for an evening of exploration at the equinox-aligned Goodaver Stone Circle.

Experience this wondrous setting under darkening skies as you listen to tales of local history and the beasts and shadowed spaces of the moor. Bring your own stories of the night to share with us on this guided walk. Explore the magical Goodaver Stone Circle and enjoy the unique and memorable feeling of being on the moor after dark! Set within the Bodmin Moor International Dark Sky Landscape, we hope to catch sight of the stunning starscape on our return, weather permitting.

Walk Details

• Total distance: 2.5 miles

• Route includes one steep uphill section, followed by mostly flat, off-road walking

• Terrain may be uneven and muddy

What to Bring

• Torch or headtorch for the return walk

• Snack and drink

• Sturdy boots you don’t mind getting muddy

• Extra warm layer for after sunset
