Join us in-person in Venice and online via Zoom for conversations between the curators of A Fragile Correspondence and special guests from across La Biennale di Venezia reflecting on the themes and topics presented throughout The Laboratory of the Future. Our opening Roundtable will be available to watch live via Zoom.
For A Fragile Correspondence we have explored the climate emergency in relation to language and land, through three distinct locations across Scotland. Our exhibition culminates in a Reading Room where we present a Lexicon of words and phrases which we have drawn from our research and wonderful exhibition collaborators. As La Biennale has progressed, the Lexicon has continued to grow as visitors use their own languages to also add words and phrases which reflect local conditions across the world.
In this roundtable discussion we have invited a range a panellists with specialisms in architecture, art, curation, and education who have participated in 18th International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia this year. We'll discuss their personal and professional relationships with language and land, and reflect on the positioning of architecture within public discourse. We also invite panellists, and the audience, to contribute to our Lexicon.
Our wonderful panel includes:
Nana Biamah-Ofosu - Curator Tropical Modernism, tutor Biennale College
Alyesha Choudhury - Co-founder of /other, co-curator of A Fragile Correspondence
Alissar Riachi - Editor-in-Chief of -ism magazine, co-curator of A Fragile Correspondence
