First and Last, Melbourne 2026
First and Last returns to Melbourne! Join Pascale Gomes-McNabb (Pascale Gomes-McNabb Design) and Hannah Tribe (Tribe Studio Architects) as they each reflect on one of the earliest projects in their career and contrast it with a recent work.
Through candid presentations and conversations, the session will explore how creative practices evolve over time, what remains constant, and how the design landscape has shifted. It’s a chance to hear personal insights into a career in practice, how to achieve longevity in the design industry, and what they have each learnt along the way. Hear stories from behind the work – from humble beginnings to current-day milestones.
TALKS
Cumulus Inc • Eleven Barrack
Melbourne designer Pascale Gomes-McNabb will speak about one of her first projects, Cumulus Inc, the understated and effortless iconic Melbourne restaurant. In contrast, she’ll also present Eleven Barrack, a new luxury grill restaurant in Sydney designed in collaboration with H and E Architects.

Hannah Tribe, principal of Tribe Studio Architects, will reflect on her first project, Rose Bay House, a family home that drew on artistic references while balancing whimsy and rigour. She will also discuss Coogee House III, which received the 2026 Australian Interior Design Awards’ Residential Design award.
