The ideas, experiences and obsessions that drive design thinking

Curators Neil Durbach (Durbach Block Jaggers Architects) and Katelin Butler (Architecture Media) have invited a diverse group of Australian architects and other creatives to step away from their portfolios and share the books, music, art, films, places, people, and experiences that have left an immeasurable mark on their thinking and practice.

Through a series of candid presentations, this symposium will explore how these influences find expression in the ideas, values and decisions that underpin the buildings, places and cultural contributions we create.

In an age of algorithms, personal brands and endless scrolling, what truly shapes the way designers think? Find out at The Architecture Symposium: Influences, Not Influencers.
