Sat 25 May 2024 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
St John's Leytonstone, E11 1HH
Description
Arctic Circle's Daylight Music has for fifteen years become an important part of London’s live music scene, with a weird and wonderful mix of musicians presenting ideas and storytelling in music and sound, alongside delicious cake, in some of London’s most splendid and iconic venues.
Returning to St John’s Leytonstone where musicians will take you on a unique journey within the resonating acoustics of the space. Over the two hours you'll experience ambitious modern classical music, experimental electronic sounds and songwriting with intense soul.
97 Ensemble join us to champion music by underrepresented composers, with a particular focus on women composers featuring the music of Errolyn Wallen and Shiva Feshareki. A duo of ethereal water spirits >Σ will dive deep into otherness with oceanic vibration and electronic creations. Kay Elizabeth’s music explores words and music from lost places with a voice which is honest, raw and true.
Joining us again this week, joining the dots between the other performers on the organ is Mazy Day.
