Social Prescribing Advanced Skills - 2 Day Course

The Social Prescriber Advanced Skills Programme is PCI Accredited and aligns with the 2023 Care Coordinator Workforce Development Framework giving you the reassurance of a quality learning experience that meets the needs of new and experienced Social Prescribing Link Workers.

Join us for this online training programme which covers 4 modules over 2 days giving Social Prescribers the knowledge, skills and confidence to work effectively in their role.

The topics that we cover during the training programme are

1. Principles and role of social prescribing
2. Understanding concepts of patient activation
3. Able to use effective communication skills to build trust and rapport
4. Overcoming resistance and barriers to change
5. Motivational interviewing
6. Self-care and CPD

The programme uses a variety of learning techniques to embed knowledge and skills

Cancellation

At ARC Training Academy, we are committed to delivering high-quality training while maintaining transparency and fairness in all our policies. Please review our cancellation terms below:

Participant Cancellations

• More than 14 days before the course start date
  ✅ Full refund or free rescheduling.
• 8–14 days before the course start date
  🔁 50% refund or transfer with a 25% rebooking fee.
• 7 days or less before the course start date
  ❌ No refund. Transfer allowed with a 50% rebooking fee.
• No-shows
  ❌ No refunds or transfers for no-shows without notice.

✅ Substitutions are allowed at no extra cost, if requested at least 2 business days before the course begins.

📅 Provider Cancellations

If ARC Training Academy must cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances:

• You'll be notified as early as possible.
• You may choose a full refund or a free transfer to another session.
• We are not liable for any additional costs (e.g., travel or accommodation).

🦠 COVID-19 & Postponement Policy

Health and safety come first. In light of COVID-19 and related disruptions:

• If a course is postponed due to public health concerns, you may reschedule at no extra charge.
• If you test positive or are required to isolate, you may request a transfer or credit for future training. Supporting documentation may be required.
• If a course must be moved online, you will be notified and given the option to attend virtually or reschedule.

🏢 Custom or On-Site Training

For private, in-house, or custom training:

• Cancellations or changes must be made at least 21 days in advance.
• Late cancellations may result in charges up to 100% of the agreed fee.
