SATURDAY 2ND MAY: Workshop: Grow Your Own Herbs and Vegetables
Led by: Sol Harmsworth, Head Gardener
Cost: £25 – take home a starter garden 
Length: 1.5 hour (hands-on workshop in the nursery polytunnel)
Starts – 11-1.30 Ardagh Nursery court
What you will do:

• Take a tour of the Ardagh Community Trust nursery and gardens
  • Learn about the sustainable plant nursery, green economy, and community resilience
• Sow herb and vegetable seeds
• Learn about different seed types and growing in stages (succession planting)
• Learn multi-sowing and companion planting to help wildlife and plant health
• Learn about germination, seed trays, and cell sizes
• Learn how to water seedlings properly and planting to get the best out your crops

You take home:

• A seed tray with 5 types of crops
• Young plug plug plants for your own garden
