‘Imperfect Days’ is a new film showcasing the impact of clinical trials on patients’ lives. The 25 minute film was produced with funding from a Health Research Board grant to Diabetes Collaborative Clinical Trial Network and is made under the umbrella of Science on Screen, a partnership between CÚRAM Research Ireland Centre for Medical Devices funded by Taighde Éireann – Research Ireland, and Ardán.

Directed by Dave Qualter and produced by Laura Qualter of Prospect Films, the film meets with Carmel McDonagh, Tony Marshall and Faye Burke who share their experiences of clinical trials and living with diabetes. We also meet researchers and doctors from University of Galway and the Royal College of Surgeons such as Professor Fidelma Dunne, Professor Seamus Sreenan, Professor Matt Griffin and Dr Christine Newman, who are at the coalface of clinical trial rollout in Ireland and are seeing firsthand its transformative effects.
