____

Fresh from the breakthrough success of her third album "Friend", james K lands at Argo16 for the only Italian date of her tour: a dreamlike experience suspended between club rhythms and intimate reverie. CHANTSSSS delivers the opening act, joined by Agnese Polli on cello. Our residents Diprizio and EM close the night.

____

JAMES K (US)
james K moves between the intimate and the elusive, her voice float like mist over ambient textures and slow motion rhythms, where each note feels both strange and familiar. A vocalist, producer, visual artist and DJ, she shapes live sets into fluid, dreamlike states.
Rooted in New York’s experimental scene and releases on AD 93, PAN and Incienso, she deconstructs pop into fragile, shifting forms—music that lingers on the skin, tender yet unyielding. Here, trip hop and breakbeats meet pop hooks and shoegaze, as hypnotic vocals drift through hazy soundscapes, pulling listeners into a space where voice becomes both signal and rupture.

CHANTSSSS with AGNESE POLLI (IT)
CHANTSSSS is the mysterious alias behind "Shyness", one of the most intriguing records of 2024 (Boomkat Top Albums/Discoveries, Bandcamp Daily).
They distill and blend aspects of ambient pop, chamber music and liminal spaces where club echoes fade into your comedowns, oscillating between beat-less sound bathing and tender pop, oscillating between beat-less sound bathing and tender pop, with passages of tongue-tip, post-club thizz with a careful brevity and subtle, yet immediate, appeal that beckons many repeat returns to its amniotic embrace. For the occasion, they will perform in a duo format with Agnese Polli on cello.

DIPRIZIO (IT)
Grown up in Southern Italy and now Venice-based, Diprizio defines his sound through a selection of bass music free from dogma and nostalgia. Moving across dubstep, dnb, straight kicks and hybrid deviations, he constantly balances sonic pressure and attentive listening. With a personal style, he blends rhythm and atmosphere into a direct, physical, and immersive sound.

EM (IT)
EM is a DJ and curator from Venice, now based in Barcelona. His sets drift between glittering sounds and fractured club rhythms, unfolding into something intimate yet disorienting. Rooted in an internet-core aesthetic, his selections channel digital nostalgia, often dissolving into moments of euphoria.
