The Party at the End

There’s a woman in red shoes trying to talk about the one thing nobody wants to talk about.

Death. Not an obvious crowd-pleaser.

And yet, with extraordinary storytelling, a disco ball, and a wicked sense of humour, The Party at the End turns our favourite taboo into a raging celebration of the strange, messy, beautiful business of being alive.

Growing up against the backdrop of an undeclared civil war, Suzy learned early that people vanish. Lost lives, stolen moments, and final embraces met with silence over cups of tea. Thirty years later, after losing her dad during COVID and witnessing more than her fair share of deaths, she wants to know: If we stopped pretending death wasn’t coming, might we get a little better at living?

Part storytelling, part performance, part collective gathering, The Party at the End is warm, angry, irreverent, and unexpectedly joyful at times.

There will be stories. There will be tea and biscuits. There may be some tears. There may be anger. There will definitely be laughs and food for thought.
