ARLIS Cataloguing & Classification Committee Coffee Morning - October 2026

The ARLIS UK & Ireland Cataloguing & Classification Committee invites you to an online coffee morning on Thursday 29th October at 10:30am: ‘Love them or loathe them: the systems we use and how they help or hinder cataloguing’.

This will be an informal chat based loosely around the relationships between cataloguers, metadata, library management systems and discovery layers.

Do your systems work well for creating and managing metadata? Do your discovery layers display it to the maximum benefit of your users? What do you like about your systems?

Bring your thoughts and comments on the subject, or come along to hear what others have to say. All are welcome and we hope to see you there.
