Talk - Jo Moseley, Best Selling Paddleboarding Author and Filmmaker

Talk by Jo Moseley, filmmaker and author of two best selling books about paddleboarding.

In 2019 at age of 54, she became the first woman to paddleboard 162 miles coast to coast from Liverpool to Goole, picking up litter on the way.  Her film about the trip called "Brave Enough - A Journey Home to Joy" has been shown at leading festivals including the Keswick Film and Kendal Mountain Festivals. Jo hosts a regular podcast "The Joy of SUP- The Paddleboarding Sunshine Podcast" and has a regular column in SUP Mag UK,

She took hir first paddleboarding lesson in Derwentwater in 2016 and has been hooked ever since.

Arnside Sailing Club introduced paddle boarding in 2000.  We offer lessons and  have now taught over 400 people to SUP. We became a Paddle UK Club at the end of 2024. The Club offers both paddle boarding and sit-on-top kayaking.

In 2025 we plan a programme of social paddleboarding and kayaking including trips to lakes, rivers, canal and on the estuary at Arnside. We run taster sessions for schools and youth groups.  During the summer we plan to run fun family paddleboard and kayak sessions for children and their parents.
