Playscape Emporium: FABLE FANTASTIQUE [LIVESTREAM]

Enter Duo Cichorium’s Playscape Emporium, a six-part series built around storytelling through cross-disciplinary collaboration. Each event in the series will feature a distinct artistic medium, blending music, dance, theater, visual art, poetry, puppetry, and video games. Duo Cichorium and their guest artists will craft unique narratives that blend their creative styles, resulting in unpredictable and engaging performances.

FABLE FANTASTIQUE features the art of storytelling alongside improvised music. Over the course of the evening, two works — by poets Nicci Pryce and Nevada-Jane Arlow — will be presented with their respective musical ensembles. Each creator’s work loosely ties in myth, folklore, and fantasy, the former featuring the mythology of Medusa and the latter on the Fairy King. Expect theatrics, character-driven improvisation, and music that spans jazz/hip-hop grooves to a faux-classical concoction of strings and synths.
