Print Social at Pottery Corner, Chorlton

Come and join us for a fun and friendly Print Social pop up workshop.  This event is the perfect opportunity to unleash your creativity and connect with fellow enthusiasts. No experience is necessary and it's a friendly event, so come solo or with friends to experience the joy of printing. Everyone is welcome!

The workshop:

You'll be guided by Vicky to make your own printing block, inspired by images from nature.  You'll learn how to engrave your own printing block, ink it up and then enjoy the thrill of repeatedly peeling and revealing your pattern, before re-engraving and adding a second layer of colour.  

There will be chance to experiment before making the final piece to take home with your frame.

About your host:

With 15 years experience teaching specialist art lessons in schools across Greater Manchester, Vicky has continually seen the positive impact of art on pupil wellbeing and self-esteem. In recent years, she has started to share the benefits of art beyond the classroom, so that a wider audience can benefit from the calming and enjoyable process of getting creative.  Artiscool is about making high-quality and enjoyable art activities that are accessible to all, whether that's in a café, a classroom, a community centre or even your own home!

FAQ's:

Do I need to be 'arty' to do this workshop?

No! You will be guided by Vicky with step-by-step instructions. The nature of the activity is based on abstract patterns, so let the printing speak for itself. You'll be amazed by what you create.

Can I come alone or is it better to come with friends?

Everybody is welcome, whether you come solo or with others. There will be a maximum of 14 participants, and a warm and inclusive atmosphere awaits you whether you come alone or with others.

Will I get a frame?

Yes a frame is included in the price!

Do I need to bring anything?

Just come with a bag ( to carry your damp print home) and a smile!  All resources will be provided and there's even an Artiscool apron to wear during the workshop to protect your clothes.
