Valentine’s Gallery Tour: Love, After Light

Tickets $50 per person • Limited to 30 guests
Rain or shine
Step into a thoughtful evening through New York’s art world, created for connection, wonder, and shared discovery. This tour welcomes everyone: partners, friends, siblings, collaborators, and those attending on their own. No prior art experience is needed, only curiosity and a willingness to slow down and look together.
At Tara Downs, Yirui Fang’s exhibition Even when the gods lose their will, the afterglow remains imagines light as a human force rather than a divine one. His paintings, shaped by Greek mythology, Western modernism, and Chinese calligraphy, hover in a luminous dusk where beauty persists after certainty fades.
At Asya Geisberg Gallery, Melanie Daniel’s Here a Dead Leaf Fell feels like future folklore. Wolves, moths, moons, and cloaked figures move through scenes of growth and decay, where love appears as part of nature’s cycles, always changing with time.
At CHART, where Jacqueline Qiu’s Burying Flowers treats weaving as a form of devotion, marking time with each thread. Inspired by stories of flower burials and rituals of care, her work suggests that mourning and tenderness can be creative acts. Jacqueline Qiu will be present at CHART for a brief question and answer session, offering guests the chance to connect with her directly.
Across the three galleries, love shimmers in the air like an unseen element, revealed through attentive gestures and genuine conversation rather than as a simple theme or familiar trope.
Join ArtRabbit’s New York Director, Morgan Everhart, for a Valentine’s evening that celebrates imagination, ritual, and shared wonder. Think of it as a cultural Valentine’s date with art, open to every kind of relationship.

About the Exhibitions
Tara Downs: Yirui Fang, Even when the gods lose their will, the afterglow remains
Fang’s paintings capture the brief time after sunset when colors deepen and the world feels newly possible. His work suggests that even today, moments of attention can still glow with meaning.
Asya Geisberg Gallery: Melanie Daniel, Here a Dead Leaf Fell
Daniel’s paintings are filled with animals, moons, and wandering figures, creating scenes that feel mythical. She treats nature as a storyteller where desire, grief, and renewal grow together.
CHART: Jacqueline Qiu, Burying Flowers
Qiu’s woven pieces emerge slowly without sketches, guided by intuition and time. Inspired by flower burial rituals, her work explores how care and vulnerability become visible through making.
