December Artist Peer Group (virtual)

Mon 2 Dec 2024 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM GMT Online, Zoom

Join us for our December online artist peer group!

Established in 2015 our artist peer groups are an opportunity for artists exploring health and wellbeing in their practice to gain feedback and support on their projects, ideas or challenges that they are facing. The space is for active feedback, meaning that artists aren’t sharing finished works, but asking for specific support from others attending the session. Together we pool resources and provide feedback in a supportive environment.

Our first artist is Rachel Horne. Our second artist is to be confirmed.

Want to share your work at a future group? Fill out our application form.

About Rachel Horne.

Rachel is an artist, curator, and art psychotherapist from Doncaster in South Yorkshire, now based in Manchester. Rachel will be presenting her seven-year collaboration with Imogen Carline, a young artist from Doncaster who is autistic and nonverbal with complex learning needs. She will be discussing their journey, and presenting a film Rachel made about their work together in 2022.

Rachel is interested in gaining support focusing on:

  • How to support Imogen's art and story to reach a national/international audience, considering Imogen and her family's needs?
  • How to create a methodology for their practice together to help share with other artists and families who are creative?
  • How can Rachel push the importance of art and art therapy for SEN (special educational needs) children and young people in her practice?
