Please note that we have had a venue change and the concert will now be held at Tinwell's All Saint's Church, NOT Laxton, as there is more parking available and more space for the audience, performers and...refreshments! Please update your diaries accordingly - many thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

Kasia Middleton (soprano), Alan Thomas (guitar) and Eleanor Turner (harp) are delighted to invite you to their candlelit concert at Tinwell's beautiful All Saints Church, nostalgically named 'The Christmas Tree Fairy'. The music will include traditional carols, Ave Maria by Schubert, Sufjan Stevens and Alan Thomas songs, Maria Wiegenlied by Max Reger, Timelapse by Ludovico Einaudi and Britten's Corpus Christi Carol.

The concert starts at 7pm and doors open at 6.30pm. Ticket price (£16, concessions £12, Universal Credit and under 16s £7.50) includes a glass of wine or juice, and a mince pie; further refreshments available for a donation please. Bring a cushion and a blanket if you wish to be very cosy.

Whether performing the complete lute works of J.S. Bach, sharing the stage with Alfie Boe or Aphex Twin, or composing genre-bending music with live computer interaction, Alan Thomas is devoted to exploring the guitar’s many personalities and sonic possibilities. He can trace the source of his eclectic tastes and interests to simultaneously discovering Ozzy Osbourne and Julian Bream in his Atlanta boyhood, followed by innumerable obsessions with musical heroes from Pat Metheny to Gyorgy Ligeti. Alan won First Prize in the prestigious Gaudeamus Interpreters Contest, many years ago, in fact he was the first guitarist to ever win it. Years later, in 2011, Alan coached Eleanor for that same contest and, in a field of over 100 international musicians and ensembles, Eleanor won Second Prize.
