Visual journaling involves using one’s inner vision to imagine what thought, feeling or emotional reaction would look like if it were expressed as a color, shape or image. “Words simply can’t describe an experience sometimes, but images can—and with a depth that words cannot achieve.” 

You don’t have to be an artist to experience the profound effects of this approach.
