An evening of exploratory solo performance from two boundary-pushing wind players.
Laura Cocks, flutist and member of the TAK Ensemble, performs a solo set drawing on extended techniques, precision, and high-intensity gesture. Her work often explores the physicality of sound and the emotional tension between control and release.
Bhob Rainey is a composer and soprano saxophonist working at the intersection of free improvisation, experimental composition, and sound art. His solo performances build atmospheric and meditative structures through minimal material and focused attention.
