Welcome in the spring in this mindful, nature-inspired workshop where you’ll experiment with a range of materials to create a beautiful piece of expressive and process-led artwork.
Hosted in the idyllic setting of The Design Chapel housed within Southampton’s Old Cemetery grounds, we’ll start the workshop with a calming walk around the wild cemetery grounds in search of spring flowers, reeds and trees to get you inspired. Bring a sketchbook and camera to capture forms and colours that we can use whilst making later.
Guided by Lucie, using our walk and photographs for inspiration, let your creativity run wild to create a unique A3 mixed media piece. We’ll look at how alternative tools such as leaves, twigs and feathers can be used to create marks and prints, and how combining materials such as charcoal, water, paint and oil pastels can create unique outcomes.
