This EPA/State of Michigan course is required for all asbestos management planners on an annual basis to maintain their certification.
This half-day course will refresh attendees on producing asbestos management plans following completion of mandated asbestos inspections and re-inspections in public and private primary and secondary school buildings, as required by Federal law.<p>The course topics include reviewing and interpreting asbestos inspection data, a detailed review of Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) requirements, producing management plans and operations & maintenance (O&M) programs, and required documentation and report creation standards.</p><p>In Addition, this course will assist attendees on keeping up with the current changes within the industry and new interpretations and requirements from federal or state regulations. Upon completion of this course, attendees must submit their certificate and fees to the State of Michigan to maintain their State certification as Asbestos Management Planners.
PLEASE NOTE: Federal EPA regulations require that any individual who engages in determining asbestos hazards in school buildings (K-12) must annually maintain their accreditation as a licensed asbestos management planner. While the required applications and exams are provided during the training course, the fees for this licensing are not included in the cost of the training course. Other states may not accept virtual training. Please verify with states other than Michigan before registering that they accept virtual training.
