Asheville's first and ONLY Saturday drag brunch! All profits go to charity from Katarina's Saturday Cabaret on February 18th at 2pm at Banks Ave. Bar. The $25 ticket includes admission, brunch, the professional drag show, and a donation to the local non-profit organization Tranzmission. Ages 18 and up. Tickets at www.AshevilleDragBrunch.com
Tranzmission, the beneficiary of the event proceeds, was formed in 2001 with a mission to make the lives of nonbinary, transgender and gender nonconforming people in western North Carolina happier, healthier and safer through education, advocacy and support.
Banks Avenue Bar hosts the event and boasts a full-service bar complete with mimosas. A bountiful brunch is catered by Biscuit Head South. The ages 18+ drag queen entertainment promises to be sing-along top-notch fun with plenty of laughter and audience interaction. The show includes performances by an all-star cast of professional drag queens. Hosted by a charming drag community icon, Katarina SynClaire.
From the very first show Asheville Drag Brunch declared that 100% of the profits would go to good causes. This mission continues today as they raise funds each year for local organizations supporting the Asheville community. All profits are donated to over 15 local non-profits including Beloved Asheville, Blue Ridge Pride, Healing Solutions Counseling, Loving Food Resources, Open Hearts Arts, Make a Wish Foundation, OUR Voice, Youth OUTright, and more.
"I’m excited about our fifth year, and working with the most venues and the largest selection of entertainers we’ve ever had, including some stellar performers and pageant title holders. Our shows are a blast and sell out quickly so get your tickets now," says host and performer Divine Holeburn. "This event is a fundraiser, yes, but it is also an opportunity to showcase our incredible local performers, restaurants, and bars, while helping the community. So DRAG yourself to brunch every time!"

*All ages are welcome at this fundraiser (otherwise it will be clearly noted in the event listing). The entertainment is dancing and singing. The music is the same as you might hear on a public radio station and the costumes are similar to circus acrobats or ice skaters. For all shows, minors/youth must be accompanied by an adult.

After our event expenses are paid all profits go to a local charity. However, as a non-profit business, we still incur over $8,000 in operational costs each year and do need your help. Please consider making a tax-free donation to Bearded Lady Productions 501c3 here. We produce entertainment events to raise funds for local organizations that promote the acceptance and equity of all people, and who encourage the welfare of our community members. From our very first show, we declared that 100% of the profits would go to good causes. This mission continues today as local entertainers and businesses help us raise thousands of dollars each year for over fifteen local organizations supporting our community. We are proud to help further their missions. Want to help us? DONATE HERE
