Mental Health in Anti-Trafficking & Humanitarian Crisis (MHAT) Global Conference

MHAT (Mental Health) Global Conference is where mental health, trauma, human trafficking and humanitarian crisis meet. Over four days in Kuala Lumpur, practitioners from across the world will learn from survivors, clinicians, lawyers, investigators, journalists and NGO leaders working on the front line of exploitation and displacement.

Recognising the growing intersection between exploitation, displacement, migration, gender-based violence, climate vulnerability, forced criminality, child protection and humanitarian crises, MHAT creates a space for deeper dialogue on how trauma-informed mental health responses must evolve across sectors. Through integrated programme streams spanning research, clinical practice, organisational leadership, policy dialogue, and restorative wellbeing spaces, the conference bridges knowledge, practice, and systems change.

Designed for professionals across social work, mental health, healthcare, humanitarian response, migration support, and organisational leadership, MHAT offers expert-led masterclasses, sector briefings, emerging field research and wellness sessions supporting practitioner resilience and sustainable practice. Scholarship opportunities are available for NGO practitioners and frontline workers. With limited places available, we invite you to join a growing global community shaping the future of mental health and protection responses for vulnerable populations worldwide.
