The ALIA 2022 Annual Meeting will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 25-27, 2022. The theme of the ALIA Annual Meeting is “Accelerating Sustainability for the Lubricants Industry.” We have now finalized the program for the ALIA 2022 Annual Meeting. Click to view the event schedule.
Based on feedback received, as some of you are unable to travel, we have enabled the ALIA Annual Meeting to be attended virtually through an interactive hybrid format. The entire event will be live streamed, but will also be available on demand after the event on our networking platform. The hybrid event is open to all members at a reduced rate to cover the cost of enabling the online event.
We have developed a business matching questionnaire to enable you to find business opportunities or products/services support from the other participants, whether you are attending face-to-face or virtually, to improve your business matching potential in our networking platform which uses keyword matching via AI.
The first day which is the update from all sub-committee members will be free and open to all members. Please register so you can attend to understand what they are currently focussed on and provide feedback on whether there are other areas you think they should cover.
The next two days will be the full Annual Meeting where we have many knowledgeable speakers and will be discussing and breaking out into working groups to understand the implications of the energy transition on our industry and how we can accelerate our role in sustainability. The energy transition will be the game changing and potentially existential challenge we all face over the next 10 years. As ALIA, we would like to ensure that we prepare our members for the challenge.
For those who are able to travel, we look forward to hosting you at the beautiful Siam Anantara Bangkok. The Siam Anantara Bangkok combines an unrivalled location with iconic design and gracious hospitality. The hotel offers exemplary hygiene standards, contactless registration and physical distancing that works. Don't miss this once-a-year opportunity to network with your Asian colleagues. The ALIA Annual Meeting will be co-located with F+L Week 2022, which will be held from April 27-29.
For those traveling with their spouses, we have arranged with our local partner several activities before, during or after the event. To sign up, download this tour reservation form.
On April 26, we have arranged a Dinner Cruise along the famous Chao Phraya River, which includes a Thai cultural show. If you would like to bring your spouse, there is a small joining fee. You can also register your spouse by clicking the register button.
If you registered as part of an ALIA member organisation, your registration will be verified by the ALIA Secretariat before your order is finalised.
If you are not yet an ALIA member, pay for your ALIA membership by May 27, 2022 and receive a 50% rebate on your non-member annual meeting registration fee. Contact membership@asianlubricants.org.
As of April 1, below is the prevailing Thai government regulation regarding entering Thailand:
All nationalities need to apply for a Thai Pass, which is free of charge.
The purpose of the Thai Pass is to establish that:
1. You are fully vaccinated
2. You have a hotel reservation which includes the Test and Go program. This is available from the Siam Anantara.
3. You have medical insurance that covers Covid-19 hospitalization in Thailand. Your current medical insurance may already cover this, in which case, ask your insurance for a a certification. But if your insurance does not, it is easy to buy online from Axa Thailand for around 2,500 baht (about $80).
Register for your Thai visa using this official website: https://tp.consular.go.th/home
Before you apply for your Thai Pass online, wait for the hotel confirmation from the Siam Anantara as you need to submit this online. After you register here, we will send you the hotel reservation form.
Please make sure to apply for your Thai Pass at least seven (7) days before your departure date, in case of any unforeseen delays as Songkran, Thailand's New Year national holiday, from April 13-15, is an important holiday.
