The year is 1865. London is a city of great wealth and terrible poverty. Leopold, a young orphan, lives with his uncle Vernon, who runs a struggling tearoom.

When debt collectors arrive and threaten to evict them, Leopold discovers that the apparently abandoned tearoom is hiding something rather extraordinary: Mr Moore’s Bizarre Secret Society.

Soon Leopold finds himself drawn into a secret world of curious characters, unexpected friendships and adventure — with Queen Victoria herself and a tea tournament that could change everything.

Can Leopold and the Society save the tearoom before it is too late?
