A Splendid Day Out Presents "Pirates of Mermaid Bay"

A Splendid Day Out is Morecambe's Premier Steampunk Festival, renowned for its friendly welcoming atmosphere, attracting visitors from around the Globe.

Each year we theme the event and this years theme is 'Pirates of Mermaid Bay'

Join us at the Platform & The iconic Midland Hotel  for a spectacular free festival on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th `June 2026. Experience a vibrant Artisan Market full of unique traders, live music on the outdoor stage, and astonishing sights, like live mermaids swimming in their tanks along with displays, dancing, competitions, Fashion Show &  Classic car display. Enjoy some time in the tea room where further entertainment is provided.
It's a full day of family- friendly entertainment that's completely free to attend.

The adventure continues after sundown at the ticketed evening events, held upstairs at the Kings arms on the Central promenade Morecambe. These exclusive , 18+ only events offer a different kind of revelry a chance to drink, and revel in the finest Steampunk performances,

Friday 5th June 2026 - A Krack'n Night Out
The festival opening night kicks of with a bang! Your ticket grants you entry to a fantastic evening of live performance featuring the incredible Aldous Pinch, a firm favourite on the steampunk scene, Driven Serious an original folk rock band  and Silence Surrounds Me, an alternative melodic Duo. previous members of Dead of Night.

Saturday 6th June 2026 - The Captains Cabin - A night of Folk, Rock & Steampunk
The high energy entertainment continue with a packed line up.
Aubrey Blackledge - Unique improvised storytelling and songwriting leaves audiences laughing whilst having no idea what's happening, but with a definite sense of being thoroughly entertained.
Parcel O Rogues; A fantastic folk rock band guaranteed to get you dancing.
Alice Strange: A unique artist known for her quirky alternative pop and a firm favourite, of the steampunk community.

Weekend tickets - £35 (includes both Friday & Saturday nights Plus Free entrance to the Fashion show.)
