Step inside the world of A Streetcar Named Desire like never before.

Assembly Theatre Chicago invites you into an intimate, site-specific production of Tennessee Williams’ iconic play, staged within a private residence in Logan Square. With the audience just feet away, every glance, every touch, and every fracture in the relationship between Blanche, Stella, and Stanley unfolds in striking proximity.

This is not a traditional theatre experience. There is no separation between stage and audience—only the shared space of a home, where tensions simmer and unravel in real time. The production leans into the raw immediacy of Williams’ text, exploring desire, power, and illusion in a setting that feels very intimate.

Seating is extremely limited for each performance.

May 21-24, 28-31, and June 4-7 at 7:00 PM

Approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one intermission

This performance takes place in a private residence and audience members should expect an immersive, largely standing experience. Limited seating will be available only for those who need it.
