The ALL London January Event 2025 on Saturday January 18th 2025 10.30 –2.30 (arrive any time after 09.30 for refreshments), including the Annual General Meeting (free) 2.10 – 2.30
Venue: Harris Academy Bermondsey, 55 Southwark Park Road, Bermondsey, London, SE16 3TZ
Please note:
- There is no parking on site for attendees. Spaces are strictly for exhibitors only.
- There is a planned weekend tube closure which affects the Jubilee line at Bermondsey, and engineering work on SE network is closing Waterloo East, Charing Cross and Canon Street, but the school is easily accessible by bus!

Cost
- £1 (Pay £11 and get a £10 refund if you attend) Students, and 'first-timer' Primary teachers and Community languages teachers (We will refund your registration fee if you attend - you only pay the admin fee)
- £10 ALL individual members (incl. retired) or people who join on the day.
- £20 – group members,
- £35 – non-members
Please bring your own mug if possible!
Due to planned engineering works affecting both underground and overground services on Saturday, the start of the programme has been delayed by 30 minutes from the originally published timing. Sessions will now begin at 10:30 instead of 10:00. As always, refreshments will be available from 9:15, and you’re welcome to arrive any time—even after the event has started.

‘Sharing our Practice: – Languages Events for all Key Stages (Primary and Secondary)’ We are very grateful to the Harris Federation for hosting us in their lovely school, but above all for their on-going generosity in sharing ideas at our webinars and events. Here’s a chance to meet them in the flesh and on their patch! The Harris Languages Consultants Team, Nathalie Blondeau, Julien Violette, and Mathilde Bouquin will present their Primary and Secondary competitions offer: they will share practical information and sample documents to help you set up similar projects in your school. They will also present their Subject Specialist Training in Languages programme (SSTL) for teachers who would like to upskill in French or Spanish (open to external participants). |

12.05 - 13.15 |
Theatre: ‘New GCSE progress report’: Lessons learnt so far, and plans for the future. Subject Lead teachers (Adam Lamb, United Learning and Catherine Ames, The Grey Coat Hospital) and Exam board representatives (Ian Rodmell from AQA and Rebecca Waker from Edexcel) share their experience and advice as we prepare students for a new exam. The Harris Language Consultants team will present and share their resources created to support the delivery of new GCSE course. The session will include a presentation of tools created by the team to design well-structured lessons and a range of innovative teaching resources that you will be able to take away and edit or use in your KS4 classes. OR Firman Hall: Primary + KS3 focus: Sharing good practice, Led by the Nadine Chadier, Miriam Paridjanian Rosendale Primary School & Marian Devons, Hillingdon Primary School . Nadine will lead a Q&A session to encourage sharing of issues and solutions and present a session on free resources available through the DfE sponsored Oak Academy. Miriam will talk about competitions she has introduced into her school and Marian will share ideas related to her practice and work representing NCLE. |

‘Getting your Year 11 ready for current GCSE: An Update for Teachers’/Examiner report feedback. Theatre: AQA: Sadaf Najib, Subject Support Manager Firman Hall : Edexcel- Rebecca Waker, Subject Advisor Languages OR Meeting Room 5 (near reception): Job Application Clinic for Students. 'What are schools looking for?' [then join GCSE session] with David Blow (Executive Headteacher of SESSET) and Nathalie Blondeau (Senior Languages Consultant at Harris Federation A ‘Must’ for trainee teachers preparing CVs, applications and interviews from experienced and managers. |
