This training is intended to build the capacity of professionals, paraprofessionals , and community members to respond effectively to disclosures of sexual abuse, assault, and harassment.
This two-day in-person workshop is being offered on November 9 & 10, 2023 (inclusive), from 9:00am - 5:00pm MT at the Medicine Hat Police Service in Medicine Hat, Alberta. You MUST be registered to attend, no tickets are sold at the door. You will needed to attend both days to receive a certificate of completion.

Who Should Attend?
This is a comprehensive, yet beginner, ‘Identify, Respond and Refer’ training. This training is beneficial to professionals and paraprofessionals who are working with individuals who may be impacted by sexual violence and to other community members who are interested in increasing their skills and confidence to respond to disclosures of sexual violence.
This training is open to, but not limited to, individuals who work in Health Care, Social Services, Education and Justice such as Nurses, Physicians, Social Workers, Youth Workers, Mental Health Workers, Teachers, School Counselors, Police Officers, Victim Services Workers, as well as Faith Leaders.
