Every Hekekatti an opportunity to come together in community and honor our celestial kin and interconnected existence through attunement with our cycles. Every Hekekatti a reclamation of ancestral practice.

Join us for this month’s Hekekatti//New Moon in Cancer! I will open our circle with a discussion of the astrology of Hekekatti in Cancer in depth, and how she may show up on a collective level. Then, we’ll share our experiences and intentions through the lens of our birth charts, finding what areas of our lives are undergoing renewal alongside Katti//Luna//Moon. I will offer astrological insights intended to help you learn about and deepen your relationship with yourself//your astrology//your celestial kin in a less technical and more relational, embodied way– through your own guided reflections and the experiences shared by others in circle.

My approach to astrology is inextricable from my Taino spirituality. We may never know how our Taino ancestors practiced astrology, but we do know they had very deep, intentional relationships with Wehi//Weyu//Sol and Katti//Luna, and just as rocks and rivers are people, are ancestors, so too are the planets. We can work with astrology as a means to form deeper bonds with our planetary ancestors: the relationship is the intention, and the wisdom that follows is the medicine.
