Join us for our 7 week micro-immersion course for A2/B1 level French speakers
🇫🇷 What if 7 weeks could actually change your French?
Not 7 weeks of sitting in a classroom conjugating verbs. 8 weeks of speaking French in cafés, galleries and a Marylebone bistro — guided by native teachers.
This is Asusu's micro-immersion course. It's the closest you can get to full immersion while working a full-time job in London.
🧠 How it works
Most people have been learning French for years and still freeze the moment someone actually speaks to them. That's not a language problem, it's a practice problem.
Micro-immersion fixes that by combining real-world conversation with focused weekly practice — so you're not just collecting knowledge, you're building the habit of actually using French.
Every week has 2 parts:
In person — a 1hr Sunday morning conversation class in a real London venue. A café. A gallery. A bistro. Asusu style: themed discussion, native teacher, small group, no classroom energy. These sessions are genuinely social — expect to laugh, connect, and leave with people you actually want to keep practising with.
Homework — this is where the immersion really happens. Each week you'll get one short tasks either: verbal (a voice note sent to the group) or written (a response on WhatsApp). Your teacher gives you personal feedback during the week. It's designed to take around 10 minutes — not to stress you out, but to keep French in your life between sessions. Speaking and writing every single week is what separates people who improve from people who plateau.

🎯 Is this the right level for you?
This course is for A2/B1 learners. Maybe you took a French course and haven't practiced since or are a self taught duolingo warrior! It's a mixed ability class, so will have beginners on one side and more advanced on the other side of the table so everyone has a chance to progress at their own pace.
If you can follow a slow conversation on familiar topics when spoken clearly, are learning to discuss experiences and opinions in simple sentences. You make mistakes and forget words (very normal and welcome!), but you can convey meaning please come along.
This is not a complete beginner course. If you struggle to form sentences in French and say a few things about your life in French right now, this probably isn't the right level yet.
If you can do the above — even slowly, even messily — you're in the right place. We will adapt the class to the level of attendees so if you are unsure of your level and would like to come, we encourage you to book.
You will make consistent, measurable progress over seven weeks and you will meet people who share your love of French and actually become friends. That community continues well beyond the last class.
