The Assembly Rooms are loved by Steampunks for their historic splendour and warm welcome. They are home to the Ministry’s Steampunk Halloween this year with a programme of features and steampunk traders during the day on Saturday, more features on Sunday and two special evening events.

(Daytime access is free to people who attend Ghost Night or the Immortal Ball - you will be given a wristband. If you aren’t booked for an evening event admission is payable on the door @£2 per adult, accompanied under 17s are free. Cash only.)

As part of the Ministry of Steampunk's celebration of Steampunk Halloween  we are delighted to invite you to The Immortal Ball with Alice Strange in the ball room.

You can be sure of a slightly chilling Halloweeny welcome followed by a hot food buffet which will include artisan breads with balsamic vinegar, followed by a choice of hot food including a vegan option with chips and/or rice and/or a side salad followed by a chocolate brownie with dairy or vegan ice cream. 

After the meal you will be treated to a very special performance by Alice Strange who is sure to include some suitable Halloween-related songs and will provide an opportunity to dance your cares away. 

There is no fixed dress code but you can expect many people in Steampunk attire and/or Halloween-inspired outfits (think witches, vampires, ghosts, Beetlejuice, the Addams family and so on).   This is a ball so please dress to impress. Smart formal wear is also welcome.

The Immortal Ball is scheduled to start at 7:30PM but please aim to arrive between 7PM when the doors to the Assembly Rooms will be opened and you can come into the bar and the Oval Room and 7:30PM when we will be opening the doors from the Oval Room through to the Regency Ballroom; you will not want to miss what we are planning to be a theatrical reveal!
