A Lesson in Handstyle
This workshop introduces handstyle lettering—a foundational form of graffiti—through its historical development from practices to contemporary approaches. Beginning with a demonstration from the artist, participants will explore handstyle as a versatile visual language, connected to traditions of calligraphy, tattooing, fine art, and mural-making. The session emphasizes the fundamentals of line, rhythm, proportion, and personal style; guiding participants in developing hand-lettering as a method of visual communication adaptable to any scale. All materials are provided, and no prior lettering or graffiti experience is required.
