Panel Discussion: Where Justice Lives

Join us for an intimate public conversation alongside the Where Justice Lives exhibition - a space of memory, defiance, and solidarity with Afghan women and girls.

In conversation, Zainab Salbi and Afghan activist and survivor Parwana Ibrahimkhail Nijrabi reflect on testimony, resistance, and the enduring act of bearing witness. 

Together, they will explore what it means to remember, to stand in solidarity, and to keep the demand for justice alive.

About the Exhibition: 

Where Justice Lives is more than an exhibition. It is an act of memory, defiance, and solidarity that brings the record of the People’s Tribunal for the Women of Afghanistan into a public space of encounter. The Tribunal, an Afghan civil society-led initiative, was organized to document the systematic persecution of women and girls under Taliban rule. The exhibition translates the evidence, testimony, images, documents, voices, and collective labor generated through that process into an immersive and participatory installation.

Presented at Atelier Jolie during the United Nations General Assembly period, the exhibition sits at the intersection of documentary practice, archival preservation, testimony, and advocacy through art.
