Athletics Norfolk Open Meeting: hurdles, 200m, 300/400m, javelin, hammer, long jump

Please note:
Entries will be first come / first served and are guaranteed once you have purchased and receive a Ticket Tailor receipt.
Several tickets are both male or female, as well as mixed age groups - athletes can compete against opposite gender and an age group one higher or lower than themselves.
The first round of ticket sales will close on Wednesday 26th August, after this spaces will be reviewed and re-opened in order to try and fill all available slots. Final closing date will be Wednesday 2nd September.
Ticket prices have been increased since our first event as we would like to give something back to all of the volunteers who are giving up their time to help officiate, without these people we would not be able to hold the competition at all - All of our officials will be receiving a voucher as a thank you!

Sportpark facility guidance:
- Changing rooms will be out of bounds
- Athletes and officials toilets will be just inside the building by the entrance to the pool
- Toilets for athletes’ ‘plus one’ will be between the halls 3 & 4
- There is a one way system inside the building that must be adhered to
- The outside seating will be available but with social distancing enforced
- First Aid will be provided by Sportspark staff
- The whole of the first bend area can be used for warming up – the high jump fan can be used for the hammer and javelin warm up.
Competition structure and timing
The gates at the end of the building accessed from the Sportspark car park will open at 9.00am – you do not need to come in via reception.
Rules:
- Athletes are allowed one pre-registered accompanying person
- You will be required to provide your EA registration number when registering as you must be affiliated to England Athletics
- Please arrive no more that 1 hour prior to your event to warm up and leave immediately after your event
Bib numbers – no numbers or safety pins will be provided by Athletics Norfolk to reduce contact, therefore:
- For the throws please create your own bib with your name on that can be displayed on your vest for the officials to see
- For the all track races 00m please make your own number (must be 10cms high and black) for front and back – we will allocate numbers when entries close.
- Please bring your own cleaning materials – there will also be materials provided.
Timetable - Provisional and determined by entries (300/400m likely to start early if hurdles places do not sell out)
All events will start with U13s and make their way up the age group
TRACK
200m: 11.00-12.30pm, 14 races, every 7mins
Hurdles: 1.00-2.30pm, 14 races, every 7mins
300m/400m: 2.35pm or earlier depending on hurdle numbers - 3.45pm, 10 races, every 7mins
*Only personal blocks will be allowed.
FIELD
Hammer: 10.00-11.30am
Javelin: 11.40-1.00pm
Long jump: 1.30-5.00pm, U13s 1.30pm, U15s 2.15pm, U17s 3.00pm, U20s 3.45pm, Seniors 4.25pm
*To keep times on track and socially distanced, all athletes for long jump MUST only use the laid out tape measure to mark run-up, stepping out will not be allowed.
Age categories
Under 13s: DOB 01/09/2007 - 31/08/2009
Under 15s: DOB 01/09/2005 – 31/08/2007
Under 17s: DOB 01/09/2003 – 31/08/2005
Under 20s: DOB 01/01/2001 – 31/08/2003
Seniors/Masters: DOB 31/12/2000 or before
