Crann nan Teud | Tree of Strings
Crann nan Teud | Tree of Strings is a celebration of some of the historic and contemporary harps of the Celtic nations, and the music composed for them. It will explore their place in both Gaelic and Welsh folk music traditions, and make connections with Gaelic culture and poetry.
A concert in Dunvegan Hall with performances by Sgo (Steaph and Ciorstaidh Chaimbeul) showcasing music from their debut album ‘Eòlas-Charm’, Gaelic poet Angus Peter Campbell, Welsh improvisation performer Rhodri Davies, and harp expert Bill Taylor, who will be performing a selection of music on the wire-strung clàrsach, Scottish lever harp and bray harp amongst others, with accordion and Gaelic poetry.
