Families with high school seniors: 

We get it! Sending your child to college can be scary. You’re going to need support, guidance, & answers to your questions about academics, safety, finances, communication & more. You’ll attend a college orientation this summer, but you can start preparing right now with the information we share in this program! 

Over the past 10 years, we have accumulated tons of tips, task lists, & resources we know you’ll value. Our team is sharing all of it with you to ensure your rising freshman starts college off on the right foot. This program supplements what you’ll learn during a college orientation and gives you a head start on the process ahead. 

This program includes: 

• One 60+ minute session of tips, tasks, and advice for families of rising college freshmen (watch at your convenience) 
• A supplemental eBook filled with 30+ pages of family discussion items, checklists, tips, links to blogs and articles, and more to support your family during the transition

This program is designed to support your family during the spring and/or summer before college begins. Both parents and students will appreciate the chance to learn together about what to expect & what you can be doing over the summer. The topics we will cover will generate some great conversations. 

Topics include: 

• Preparing academically for college, both in & out of the classroom 
• Career planning 
• Financial, health, safety, & legal considerations 
• Common struggles for freshmen (roommates, loneliness, time management, asking for help, & more) 
• The new adult relationship between the student and parents 
• What we wish we would have known before our children went to college 

Colleges provide a wide range of support for families—some great and some so-so. We created this workshop to include all the tips we would want our families to know in the coming months.
