Celebrate Irish Heritage Month with the Van Helsing Society and Audacious Immersive at a magical afternoon inspired by the creatures of Celtic folklore.

Young adventurers and their families are invited inside the Van Helsing Society Headquarters for a lively Celtic Creature Meet & Greet. Guests will have the chance to meet and interact with legendary beings drawn from Irish myth — including selkies, brownies, and other curious creatures who have wandered out of ancient stories and into the Society’s halls. Children can chat with these magical visitors, hear their tales, and snap a few memorable photos before the afternoon’s feature presentation begins.

After the meet-and-greet, settle in for a screening of the Academy Award–nominated animated film Wolfwalkers from Cartoon Saloon. Inspired by Irish folklore, this breathtaking film tells the story of friendship, wolves, and the wild magic hidden within the forests of Ireland.

Popcorn, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase during the event.

What time does the event start?
The event begins at 3:00 PM with a Celtic Creature Meet & Greet. The film screening will begin at approximately 3:45 PM.

How long is the event?
The full event runs about 2 hours and 30 minutes, ending around 5:45 PM.

What ages is this event recommended for?
This event is recommended for ages 5 and up, though younger adventurers are welcome according to parental discretion. Younger children may be antsy during the film portion. 

What happens during the creature meet-and-greet?
During the meet-and-greet portion of the event, children and families can interact with costumed performers and puppets portraying creatures from Celtic folklore. Guests are welcome to chat with the creatures, hear their stories, and take photos before the film begins.

Is the movie included in the ticket?
Yes! Your ticket includes both the Celtic Creature Meet & Greet and the screening of Wolfwalkers.

Will snacks be available?
Yes. Popcorn, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase during the event.

Can we take photos?
Absolutely! Photos are encouraged during the creature meet-and-greet.

Can kids come in costume?
Yes! Adventurers Young and Adult are welcome to come dressed in fantasy, folklore, Celtic, or creature-inspired costumes. 

Where is the event located?
The event takes place at the Van Helsing Society Headquarters, 1373 N Grant St, Denver, CO 80203. We are attached to First Baptist Church of Denver. Enter from the corner entrance on the corner of 14th and Grant.

Is parking available?
Yes. Free parking is available in the venue lot on a first-come, first-served basis, with additional street parking nearby.
