A CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION TURNS DEADLY AT THE VAN HELSING SOCIETY MURDER MYSTERY

This spring, Audacious Immersive invites you into the 100th Anniversary Celebration of the Van Helsing Society — an evening of curious traditions, supernatural company, and uneasy fellowship honoring the donors, collaborators, and uncanny allies who have sustained the Society for a century.

The room is full. The speeches begin. The drinks are poured.

Then a guest collapses.

And the celebration turns, in an instant, into a murder investigation you must help unravel.

The Set Up

For a century, the Van Helsing Society has devoted itself not to hunting supernatural beings, but to studying, sheltering, and collaborating with them. Set during the Society’s centennial celebration, the evening begins as a formal ceremony hosted by the three Van Helsing sisters — Maricela, Aradia, and Diana — in honor of the organization’s most steadfast allies. The guest list is anything but ordinary: vampires, ghosts, and other mythic beings who have worked alongside the Society for decades.

But when one of those honored guests dies unexpectedly, the evening fractures.

Suddenly, no one in the Society’s inner circle can be trusted.

An Interactive Mystery

In this immersive theatrical experience, the audience becomes part of the investigation.

Move freely through the space. Question suspects. Uncover hidden clues. Compare theories with fellow investigators before the final accusation.

The suspects are a strange and storied circle of supernatural collaborators, each with their own histories, loyalties, and secrets. Any one of them could be the killer.

You might find yourself interrogating a vampire, bargaining with the Mothman, or discovering a crucial piece of evidence buried among the Society’s archives.

No two investigations unfold in quite the same way. Each guest experiences the mystery differently depending on the clues they uncover, the conversations they pursue, and the secrets they manage to expose.

This event is part of our ongoing Van Helsing Society Season, a year-long immersive story world unfolding inside The Audacious Space, where each event adds another chapter to the Society’s growing history.

Event FAQ

⏰ What time does the event start?
The doors open at 7:30 PM for a chance to get refreshments and mingle with other guests, including our supernaturals. The performance will begin at approximately 8:00 PM.

⏳How long is the event?
The full event runs about 1 hours and 30 minutes, ending around 9:30 PM.

🔞 What ages is this event recommended for?
This event is recommended for ages 13 and up, though younger guests are admitted according to parental discretion. 

🕵️ What happens during the murder mystery?
Guests will step into the Van Helsing Society’s 100th Anniversary Celebration, where a sudden death turns the evening into an investigation. Audience members will move through the space, question suspects, uncover clues, and compare theories before making a final accusation.

🗝️ Is this an interactive event?
Yes. This is an immersive, interactive theatrical experience. Guests are invited to explore the space, speak with characters, and actively participate in the investigation. Your level of participation is up to you, but everyone will be part of the mystery.

🥤 Will refreshments be available?
Yes. Drinks and light refreshments will be available for purchase during the event.

🪑 Is this a seated show?
Not entirely. Guests will move through the space as they investigate the mystery, so expect a more mobile experience than a traditional sit-down play.

♿ Is the venue ADA accessible?
Yes. Wheelchair users will be able to enter all areas of the event without special accommodation. If you will be attending with a mobility device or would like a chair available for the duration of the experience, please email info@audaciousimmersive.com in advance.

🔍 Is the mystery the same every night?
The central mystery remains the same, but each guest’s experience may differ depending on which clues they uncover, which suspects they question, and what connections they piece together. The scripted portion will also change depending on which suspect the audience votes to accuse. 

📸  Can we take photos/video?
Absolutely! Photos are encouraged. Please be sure to tag Audacious Immersive in any photos you post on social media. 

🎭 Can we come in costume?
Please do! Guests are encouraged to come dressed in fantasy, folklore, dark academia, or creature-inspired costumes.

📍Where is the event located?
The event takes place at the Van Helsing Society Headquarters, located inside The Audacious Space at 1373 N Grant St, Denver, CO 80203. We are attached to First Baptist Church of Denver. Enter from the corner entrance on the corner of 14th and Grant.

🚗 Is parking available?
Yes. Free parking is available in the venue lot on a first-come, first-served basis, with additional street parking nearby.
