A Juneteenth evening of live music, storytelling, process, and community

Join us at Laguna Lab for an immersive Juneteenth gathering featuring eight Black Sonoma County artists sharing not only their performances, but the creative journeys behind them.

Through live music, conversation, experimentation, and collaboration, Inside / Out invites audiences into the living process of artistic creation — from first spark to finished expression.

This opening Juneteenth event launches a larger nine-month community project exploring Black artistry, creative process, and the evolving relationship between human expression and emerging technologies like Generative AI.

At a moment when many artists are questioning the future of human creativity, Inside / Out centers something deeply human: voice, presence, experimentation, vulnerability, rhythm, story, and lived experience.

Audience members — especially African-American and BIPOC youth — will be invited to participate in the ongoing evolution of the project through social media interaction, documentation, and future community engagement leading toward a virtual summit during Black History Month in February 2027.
