Shamanic Journeying Circle
Guided drum journeying for inner exploration and connection

Thursday 23 Jul 2026 | 7:30 – 9pm
SW14, South West London
(Exact address shared upon booking)

An evening of guided drum journeying, rhythm, and inner exploration.

This is a participatory and experiential circle where you’ll be guided into deeper states of awareness through the steady rhythm of the drum, allowing you to journey beyond the thinking mind and explore your own inner landscapes.

Unlike a sound bath, this is not a passive experience where you simply lie down and receive. You’ll be actively journeying yourself, with space for reflection and sharing within the group.

The evening is rooted in core shamanic journeying practices and is open to both complete beginners and those with previous experience.

What is shamanic journeying?

Shamanic journeying is an ancient practice found across many cultures, where repetitive rhythmic drumming helps shift awareness into a more receptive and imaginal state.

From this space, people may experience symbolic imagery, insight, emotions, guidance, connection, or a deeper understanding of themselves.

You remain aware and in control throughout the experience.

No previous experience is needed, and there is no right or wrong way for a journey to unfold.

Some people experience vivid imagery, while others notice feelings, sensations, symbols, emotions, or simply a shift in awareness. Each person’s experience is unique.

What the evening may include

Throughout the evening we may explore a variety of guided journeys, including:

– Anchoring and preparing the inner journey space
– Journeying to the Lower World
– Connecting with power animals
– Healing or wisdom journeys
– Upper World exploration (time permitting)
– Group reflection and sharing

The drum is the primary instrument used throughout the evening, with occasional use of the rattle.

How the evening flows

– Arrival and settling into the space
– Opening the circle together
– Introduction to journeying and the drum
– Guided drum journeys
– Reflection and optional sharing between journeys
– Closing grounding practice and integration

Please note this is a communal and participatory experience, and sharing within the circle is encouraged.

The setting

The circle takes place within my private healing sanctuary in SW14, a space used solely for healing and spiritual work.

The exact address is shared after booking.

Comfort

Mats, blankets, and eye masks are provided.

You’re very welcome to bring anything additional that helps you feel comfortable.

Spaces are limited (maximum 8 participants)

Arrival

Please arrive 10 minutes before we begin so you have time to settle.

As this is a held circle space, I’m unable to admit late arrivals once we’ve started, and I kindly ask that you do not arrive significantly early.

Health & Wellbeing

Because journeying involves altered states of awareness and deep inner exploration, this circle may not be suitable for everyone.

Please contact me before booking if you:

– Are pregnant
– Have epilepsy or seizure disorders
– Have a history of psychosis or severe dissociation
– Are currently experiencing acute mental health difficulties or emotional instability
– Have severe sound sensitivity or certain heart conditions
– Are unsure whether this type of work is appropriate for you at this time

You are always free to pause, rest, or simply listen at any point during the evening.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the small group size, bookings are non-refundable within 48 hours unless your space can be filled.
