Join Justine and Alys for a small, heart-led evening of kirtan, poetry, and shared voice.
There is something special about gathering together in shared voice.
Kirtan is a simple form of call-and-response chanting. You don’t need to know anything in advance, you can join in, rest within the sound, or simply listen. It has a way of quietening the mind, softening the body, and creating a quiet sense of connection, both within yourself and with others in the room.
This is a small, intimate gathering held in a calm and welcoming space.
Alongside the chanting, poetry is gently woven into the evening. Guests are warmly invited to bring a short poem, quote, or piece of writing that resonates with them personally. A few pieces may be shared as part of the evening, adding another layer of inspiration, reflection, and connection.
We’ll spend around an hour in chant and shared voice, followed by prasad, tea, and time to connect.
Through music, poetry, and presence, Justine and Alys create a warm and welcoming space where people can gather, connect, and simply be. Each evening unfolds in its own unique way, shaped by the people who attend, the music that is shared, and the atmosphere that emerges in the room. Whether you are completely new to kirtan or have been chanting for years, you are very welcome.
