First, a quick note on the fee structure. Every fee includes a £20 non-refundable deposit to cover our costs (in terms of transaction fees and time - we have no staff). The system we are using calls this a 'booking fee'. The reason it is a separate amount is that in the event of a cancellation, we can then refund the rest of the ticket price very easily.
Autscape is a conference with a difference. Rather than talking to a primarily non-autistic audience about autism, this conference is specifically by and for autistic people. Some of it isn't even about autism at all! Non-autistic people are also welcome, but the environment and content of the event are centred around autistic people’s needs, interests and sensitivities.
Autscape includes workshops, leisure activities, social opportunities, and more, all specifically oriented to the needs and preferences of autistic people. You can also book an extra day at the end when there is no programme, but opportunities for informal socialising.
We have a lovely venue in rural Derbyshire, UK with large grounds.
Non-residential tickets include lunch and refreshments, but not breakfast or dinner. You must arrive on site after 9am and leave by 6pm.
To help you decide which day(s) you might want to book, the presentations each day are as follows:
There is no programme on Thursday afternoon, but as Autscape organisers are still on site, you may still stay until 6pm if you book this day. This only applies to non-residential bookings.
To find out more about the programme, venue, ethos, and a typical Autscape programme, see our website: http://www.autscape.org
There will also be an online programme, which will include live streaming of the main presentations, as well as participant-led activities. The main presentations will be streamed to online participants. You can find out more and book here.
