Join Christine Rich and Stephanie Burke as they lead you into the River of Peace & healing that is created through the prayers of pilgrims & local people since 1981.

Your daily program in Medjugorje consists of daily Holy Mass, visiting all important sites including climbing Apparition Hill and Cross Mountain, sites of the apparitions of Our Lady Queen of Peace.

On your list of things to do in Medjugorje is a visit to the village Bijakovici where all six visionaries come from.

Our Medjugorje guide will give a full history of the area and the apparitions and take us to the Blue Cross on the slope of Apparition Hill, walk through the fields, and also visit Mother's Village and Cenacolo. We will attend the regular evening program that includes praying all the Holy Rosary followed by the International Holy Mass. Afterward, you may participate in the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament or the Veneration of the Cross.

In Our Lady's messages, it was repeated many times how important it is to come to Mass where "we meet Jesus alive." Our time in Medjugorje will be centered around our Lady's messages, allowing hearts to be opened to her care and guidance leading to healing through her Son.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a walking and hiking pilgrimage. The activity rating of this journey is moderate-to-strenuous. There are long walks and hikes, as well as several ascents and descents up and down the mountain. Pilgrims should be physically fit, accustomed to hiking over varied terrain, and come prepared for multiple hours of walking each day. Ascents and descents along the way range from moderate to steep grades. The weather could also be extremely hot at this time of year.

Day 1 : August 6, 2026

Departure from US - overnight flight to Split, Croatia.

Day 2: August 7, 2026

Arrival to Split, Croatia, no later than 2 PM.

Upon arrival to Split Airport, you will be met by your driver and guide for transfer to Medjugorje.

Dinner will be served by our hosts that night.

Day 3 - 8: August 8-13, 2026

Medjugorje Program, August 7, 2026 - August 14, 2026 (7 nights)

Day 9: August 14, 2026

Today you will leave via the Split International airport for your return home.

The bus will be making one trip to the airport for the earliest flight. Anyone that has a flight later in the day will need to take other transportation to the airport. (The cost can be shared with others leaving later)

Cancellation Policy

If the traveler’s written notice of cancellation is received more than 90 days prior to the original departure date all payments made toward the price of the tour will be refunded, less a $100 processing fee.

For cancellations received 90 days or less prior to the trip's departure, $450 plus any applicable charges imposed by the hotels and bus companies will be non-refundable. Please note that the amount may vary with each pilgrimage and the vendors we work with.

The Avila Foundation retains the right to cancel any pilgrimage up to the departure date in which case all funds received will be returned within 10 business days.
